I’m officialy having a meat overdose, thanks to the churrasco buffet we had yesterday (and to our GST Partner, who had kindly footed the bill, heh).
Let me start with the restaurant. Vibe is located at the five-star Negara Hotel (a stone’s throw from Orchard Road) and it indeed has a pretty nice vibe to it. What I really noticed, though, was how highly personalised the service was. The Chef, I mean chef*, would go over to our table with his skewers of juicy meats, chit chat with us a bit, and man did he serve a lot of meat!
There must have been at least 12 different parts of different types of meat served one after another -from spicy cajun chicken to beef rump to lamb shoulder and so on and so forth… that even the guys gave up after their 11th serving or something. And it’s interesting that we did get to experience a little a bit of Brazilian culture as well -to signal the end of the meal, the Brazilian chef dished out this fantastic grilled pineapple, glazed with cinnamon. Ohhh… heavenly, I tell you!
The buffet (about $50/pax) covers other spread as well, of course. Sushi, sashimi, seafood, pasta, salad, European cheese, dainty cup-style dessert… and as if that isn’t enough, the mouth-watering chocolate fondue adds icing on the cake! :) :) :)
Okay. Must not start drooling on my laptop.
Go visit Vibe!
*Darn, I’m starting to capitalise my nouns when typing in English. Das ist nicht gut.
