The past couple of weekends were rather eventful, I must say. Went for my German classes, two Hari Raya open houses (at Iylia’s and Syaheeda’s), caught a movie, fell sick… and oh, of course, there was the firm’s Dinner ‘n Dance.
So, the verdict on my first corporate DnD: venue (Raffles City Convention Centre) was satisfactory, food was slightly more than okay, service was just okay, entertainment could have been more engaging (stage was kinda tiny, could hardly see host The Flying Dutchman from where I was seated).
It was a pity that our tax run’s video didn’t get shortlisted for this year’s video competition, but we had fun filming it nonetheless :)
Peek-tures!
The time tunnel thingy which led us into the “future” (the theme, PwC 2099, refers)

The two sporting Tax Partners brought the doll-up game to the next level
Check out the guy with the apron who was serving the dishes -he’s a Partner all right!
Melly darling!
Paul! We used to do an IT project together in college (which seems pretty long ago now, haha)
The Indonesians in PwC Singapore Tax -Sylvia, Fera, Agus (ok, he’s not really in Tax), Ata and Riadi (it was his last day in PwC)
More Indonesians!
On another note, never mind if you didn’t get drunk enough during the Oktoberfest celebrations -the 11th German Film Festival is now on.
Wasn’t fast enough to grab the free tickets that the Goethe-Institut was giving out for Grave Decisions, but caught one of the other films on Saturday, Ferien (Vacation). You see, I think it somewhat provided an answer to why the German cinema isn’t making it as big as the French.
I’m giving the Fest another chance, though. Gonna watch Wo ist Fred this coming Deepavali, and I’m hoping this time it’s worth the bucks.
Okay, I’ve fallen really sick right now my nose is just running uncontrollably. Bussi, baba.
