Okay. So we have Mme. Isabelle Lacoste for French. She’s not bad really, and we’ve got the spacious Language Lab as our classroom, so yay to that. She’s also allowed me to sit in for the next 2 weeks, so hurray.
Some statistics:
- Only 1 person in the class was from the Level 3 class that I was in last semester.
- 3/4 of the people in my class have either gone or are going to go on exchange (to Swiss, Sweden, France, US, China, you name it). One person has even gone twice.
- My class comprises mainly Communications Studies people. That’s a refreshing change from my previous 3 classes which were dominated by Engineering folks.
- 2/3 of the people in my class are final-year students, just like yours truly.
- My class has an exchange student from Poland, who studies in the UK and is now spending one semester in NTU. She’s studied French for 5 years, if I didn’t hear wrongly.
- My class has this Year One local guy who rattles off French like it’s his native language. He’s done French from Sec 1 all the way to ‘A’ Levels. I am now all the more determined to get my kids -should I have any in future- to speak French the moment they start talking. Ahahah.
Off to German class for now. Toodles.
