I haven’t done any movie review in a long while, have I?

Well, here’s (a belated) one.

Thanks to these guys here, I had a chance to watch a Step Up preview on Monday. It’s a movie about bad-boy-cum-street-dancer Taylor Gage (starring the deliciously hunky Channing Tatum) who discovers his passion for dance during his community service hours in an arts school (thanks to his juvenile act). Taylor also found a new love, Nora Clark (played by Jenna Dewan), a final-year student whom he volunteers to help in her final showcase.

This movie is definitely a must-see for dance enthusiasts, especially if you’re into hiphop. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan share so much on-screen chemistry (I heard off-screen too, but that’s besides the point) it’s such a joy to watch them strut their stuff together.

While some may say that the acting could be improved, I personally think it is alright. The slick moves -plus those abs and biceps of Tatum, hurhur- more than make up for it.

And oh, I love the soundtrack! Been listening a lot to Step Up by Samantha Jade and ‘Bout It by Yung Joc feat. 3LW lately. Catchy, catchy.
